In 2016 my family was “reno-victed.” The search for a new place to live was like a Greek tragedy. Feeling naked and and dispirited, we fought the other desperate hordes at open houses. We battled landlords of drastically over-priced shoddy, basement suites, who imposed extreme conditions. After two years and two moves, we found a real place to live. Hopefully, one day the housing crisis will become the stuff of myth and legend, an epic narrative for future story-tellers. For now, there is this.
